Bruiser

Bruiser

Ahhh, the Terrible Two’s.  The age when mothers come to understand the realities of nature and develop a taste for their young.

The little tykes are learning at a more accelerated pace; the more they learn the more they want to explore.  Consequently, their physical boundaries are expanding geometrically, like the top refrigerator shelf or roaming the neighborhood … alone.  Their language skills and vocabulary also improve daily as they learn negotiating skills.  No!  Moms draw on every ounce of cunning, innovation and patience to deal with the little monster.

This little bruiser had a shiner on his second birthday.  Mom has a long year ahead of her.

Thought for the Day:  When my kids become wild and unruly, I use a nice safe playpen. When they’re finished, I climb out.   Erma Bombeck
