Exhibit No. 1

HotShops Exhibit

HotShops Exhibit

This is my first Art Show.  I’ve displayed my photographs in library lobbies and sold photos off my website, but I’ve never hung them on a wall with a price tag for thousands to gawk at.

This exhibit is part of the Hot Shops Spring Open House held May 3rd and 4th at 13th and Nicholas St in downtown Omaha.  Hot Shops is a 100 year old warehouse that has been converted into three floors of artists’ studios, every kind of art you can imagine: pottery, glass blowing, painting, wood carving, metal fabrication, stained glass, jewelry, and photography.  56 studios and over 80 artists.  There will be food, live music and artists’ demonstrations during the Open House.

My little piece of this big event is part of the Omaha Camera Club’s exhibit, located in the main hallway separating the two galleries on the first floor.  I, and 14 other members have our work on display for the entire month of May.  Hope you can stop by for a peek.

Thought for the Day:  I don’t know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody.  Bill Cosby
