Mysterious Beauty

Unknown Plant - Bear Lake

Unknown Plant – Bear Lake

I found this little beauty along the path around Bear Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado.   The uneven change in fall color caught my eye.

Standing about 10-12″ tall, I have no idea what it is.   If you can identify this plant, please let me know.  Thanks.

Thought for the Day:  I speak for the trees, for the trees have no tongues.    Dr. Seuss
