Veteran’s Day – Memorial Park

Created in 1948, and dedicated by President Harry Truman, Omaha’s Memorial Park was originally built to commemorate the sacrifices made by veterans in the first and second World War.  Since then it has become a tribute to all men and women, past and present, that have served in the armed forces.

Thought for the Day:  As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.                 John F. Kennedy
