On a morning walk near Moshi, Tanzania I could hear young children’s excited voices. Several kids were running toward me from both directions, all with big smiles on their faces. Soon, I was surrounded by a dozen boisterous youngsters, all dressed in the same school jersey, all with such uninhibited joy — like school was out for the summer.
They were on their way to school and didn’t seem too worried about being late. They wanted their picture taken. More than that, they wanted to see the picture of themselves on the back of the camera. It was a real giggle-fest when they saw their own image.
It was a “Kodak Moment” for me and a very special encounter for both of us.
